Ever since I can remember I’ve been addicted to masturbation. At first I did not watch pornography, but I started watching it at a later stage. I was not as addicted to watching pornography to get me into masturbation, because usually the thought of doing it with someone on my mind would have been enough. The same principles of being addicted to anything else, for example being addicted to drugs applies to this addiction and I was heavy addicted for 10+ years. The addiction went on until one day I had a conversation with a man of God, Pastor Leon Jacobs. He revealed to me that in the eyes of satan, I was a sex slave.
After that conversation my eyes opened. I came to know how sinful my addiction was in the eyes of the Lord. It was after that conversation that I realized I had a problem and that I needed help, because I am an addict. I ran to Jesus Christ and then the real battle began. To me, it was like the first time getting to know the devil, but it was also the first time where I got to know God. I knew and heard about God before, while still being an addict, but this time it was different. I got to know God for who He really is. As the battle went on, Jesus Christ eventually delivered me. Sometimes I fell even after my deliverance, but everytime I fell, I ran back to Jesus Christ and there was never a time when He did not forgive me and picked me up after my fall.
Ever since encountering God like that, my life has never been the same. I am masturbation free and I can only thank God for that.
