Frank & Renè have been married for 8 years and have trusted the Lord for children all these years. In the past year, they began praying about foster care and adoption.
At the end of November, they heard about a little boy who needed a safe place and strongly felt that they should be obedient. Even though he could not ultimately be placed with them, they continued to trust in God’s guidance.
They decided to become holiday parents, and during a visit to the children’s home, a quiet boy spontaneously started talking with them. They felt the Lord leading them to take him in for the holiday. That December he stayed with them for a month, and from the very first day it felt as if he belonged with them.
When he had to return, it was very difficult for everyone. After prayer and consideration, they discovered they could see him more often, and shortly afterwards they were asked to apply for foster care. They immediately agreed.
On February 20th he was placed with them while the process was finalized. He has now been with them for two months and is thriving—he is full of life, speaks freely, is growing spiritually, and enjoys school and children’s church.
He brings joy to their home every day, and their hearts are overflowing with gratitude. They see him as a great blessing in their lives.
