Their story began four years ago when they read James 1 together in the Bible and realized there was a gap in prayer and care when it comes to orphans and widows. That very evening, they decided to intentionally pray for orphans and widows every Thursday night.
A year later, the Lord made the husband aware of the two empty bedrooms in their home. That day, he continually prayed about who God would want to come and live there. A week later, they heard about two children who urgently needed a safe place, and they had the privilege of loving and nurturing them for almost two years.
At times the experience was difficult, and at other times incredibly enriching, but throughout it all, it was a blessing. It was, and still is, their greatest privilege to open their home to children in need.
This year, they have been blessed again with a new little one in their home, and they trust that they will be able to love and nurture her for as long as she is entrusted to their care.
