My name is Andrea Kendall and as a child of God, I have many testimonies to share about what Jesus has done for me in my life, but the one I want to share with you is about the healing and joy that only He can give.
In March 2014, me and my boyfriend, Matthew, were driving to his grandfather’s and we got a bit lost in the central part of Pretoria, South Africa. It was rush hour and we got stuck in very bad traffic. One thing lead to another and we then got robbed during a smash and grab. Thank the Lord, neither of us got hurt badly, but the experience was still very traumatic.
Before the incident, I was a very positive, joyful and brave person, always trying to see the good in everything, but this experience stole that from me. For a long time after that, I struggled with fear and negativity and I just didn’t feel like myself at all.
Prayer slowly but surely took the fear away, but I still struggled with negativity and it felt like even while I was laughing, there was a lack of true joy.
I prayed that the Lord would help me to see the good and positive things in life and to help me get back to who I was before the incident and THE LORD ALWAYS ANSWERS PRAYERS, even if it takes a while.
On the 17th of October 2014, I was driving back home from Pretoria, listening to music and suddenly I realized, I’M HAPPY AND LIFE IS GOOD. I thought about it and realized that even if my body tried to think negative, my Spirit took over and positive thoughts came streaming out. Jesus had healed me, I felt like myself again and I had joy!! The kind of joy that will make you laugh out of your stomach for no reason, wave and smile at random people and just love life and everything that comes with it.
Thank you Jesus for answering my prayers, thank you for healing me and thank you for JOY!
